You don't need a ticket for entry into the venue nor to register for gameplay. Tournament entry is first come, first serve. There are 100 slots available. Arrive EARLY to guarantee your spot!

4:00 PM - 6:30 PM

Mario Kart Time Trials

Players have until 6:30pm to put their fastest Mario Kart time on the leaderboard. While you're waiting, take pictures, enjoy good music, drinks, food, and yard games. We will use Mario Kart Stadium....

6:30 PM - 6:40 PM

Finalists Announced

Those who finished in the Top 16 of the Leaderboard will continue to the next round

6:40 PM - 7:55 PM

Head to Head Battle

The 16 finalists will compete in an elimination bracket head to head until we get to the ultimate winner. Kart and character setup is up to the finalists' selection. Official Track is TBA.

7:55 PM - 8:00 PM

Join us for an afternoon filled with adrenaline-pumping Mario Kart action at the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh. This is the perfect event for anyone looking for fun, booze, and gaming on a Sunday afternoon. This tournament is beginner friendly, open to the public, and admission is FREE.

Put your Mario Kart 8 Deluxe skills on the line. In addition, there will be lawn games, giveaways, and FREE drink tickets dispensed to those that arrive early!!

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a ticket to get in?

No. This is a free event and open to the public. If you want to compete in the tournament, arrive early to guarantee your spot.

Will there be security?

ABSOLUTELY!! The venue will have security on staff for the duration of the event. Please try to refrain from bringing any bags. If you must, please know that ALL bags will be thoroughly checked as part of clearance to gain entry.

Is there an age limit for the event?

Yes. The venue will be serving alcohol throughout the event, so, attendees must 21+ by the day of the event. Those under the age limit will be turned away at the door.

What track will be used for the Time Trials?

Mario Kart Stadium Circuit. Character and Kart setup will be: Mario, pipe frame, rollers, and the paper glider.

Will there be other Prizes?

There will be a social media giveaway contest. Winner will be announced within days after the event.

Where can I park? And is it Free?

Parking will be FREE and alot of spaces will be available in the parking deck across the street. Please park in the Mclaurin Parking deck at 124 E Cabarrus St, Raleigh, NC 27601 (across the street from the Lincoln Theatre entrance)

What if I don't want to play Mario Kart?

There will be a cornhole set, multiple giant connect 4 games set up, and a few ping pong tables for other gameplay

How many openings are there for tournament entry?

We have 100 slots available for people that want to compete in the tournament. Based on the number of RSVPs, we highly recommend you arrive early to guarantee your spot.
