Filling Station LoftsMiami, FL
Thursday, Mar 19 from 6 pm to 9 pm
Overview

Home concerts built around community, connection, and supporting local artists!

Connector 🤝🏻 Adventurer ⛰️ Abuela-at-heart 👵🏼 Lover of kindness and mischief 🫀

Hi, my name is Natalia. An immigrant by life, organizational psychologist by training, founder by choice, connector and community builder by passion, few things make me happier than hosting in my home and listening to live music. You can expect hugs + high-fives + maracas.

I've been hosting concerts in my home for seven years, in different shapes and formats. Each month, a different local (sometimes traveling!) artist will join us to share their story and their talent in the intimate setting of my home.

This month is a very special one because we are featuring a duo that is incredibly rare to find in this intimate format. Hint: you may have seen their Tiny Desk concert. OKAN is a two-time JUNO Award–winning ensemble led by composers, vocalists, and multi-instrumentalists Elizabeth Rodriguez and Magdelys Savigne, fusing Afro-Cuban and global rhythms with jazz, folk, and classical forms. Rooted in Afro-Cuban spiritual tradition and known for their powerful vocals and virtuosic musicianship, the duo brings a bold, contemporary voice to Latin and world jazz. Both are JUNO nominees for their work with Battle of Santiago and GRAMMY nominees for their contributions to Jane Bunnett and Maqueque, and have collaborated with artists including Bomba Estéreo and Lido Pimienta. OKAN has released three critically acclaimed albums — Sombras, Espiral, and OKANTOMI — and are firmly established as one of the most compelling acts in contemporary global music today.

  • 6 p.m. - doors open, mingling & drinks
  • 7 p.m. - concert begins, be on time!
  • 8 p.m. - more mingling & drinks

🏢 Location: Filling Station Lofts; access instructions will be sent week of.

🍷 Drinks: Seasonal punch and drinks provided, but feel free to bring anything else you want to drink/share.

** Please note: tickets are not refundable or transferable to other dates.** Please note: there is a 🐱 on the premises.
