Description
On April 9th, The King Center will lead the community in a March for Humanity which will serve as a global clarion call to the world of how Together we CAN win with Love for Humanity. The March, which begins at 12 (noon), will start in front of The Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church and in front of the Martin Luther King , Jr. Statue infront of Georgia State Capitol. Following the March, there will be a Love for Humanity program and an “Inspirtainment” event to uplift and encourage the world to push the message of love and humanity forward.

What time does it begin and end?
Start: 12:00 Noon; End: 3:00 pm (estimated).

What are the transportation options?
We recommend taking MARTA, using UBER or LYFT, and/or arranging a carpool.
Take MARTA to The King Memorial Station and walk to The King Center.
To return from the Georgia State Capitol take MARTA from Five Points, Garnett,or Georgia State Transit Stations back the King Historic District or other destination.
Is there parking for participants?
We highly encourage participants to carpool and use MARTA/public transportation. There will be very limited parking at the National Park Service parking lot on John Wesley Dobbs Drive. Please check back for updated information before the day of the March.
What is the dress?
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes designed for walking long distances (1.3). Also, take in to account the weather for the day of the March.
Can I join the March for Humanity along the route?
Yes
Is there a rain plan?
No, the March will go on as scheduled if it rains unless it is deemed unsafe and it will be halted at that time.
Will there be water available?
Yes, along the March route there will be various water stations for participants to get water. However, you are welcome to bring water for your consumption as needed.
Can I purchase a T-Shirt or keepsake item from the March for Humanity event?
Yes, The King Center Book Store & Resource Center will have t-shirts and arm bands available. (Please check back later for the link for purchasing these items).
What is your bag policy?
Participants should carry small bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC). Only see-through bags are permitted. No book bags are allowed.
What are your accommodations for participants with disabilities?
ADA compliantrestrooms (portable toilets) will be available.
Are pets allowed in the event?
No, Pets are not permitted at the March for Humanityfor the safety and welfare of all in attendance.
What items are NOT permitted at the March?
Glass containers, alcohol, pets, backpacks, rolling bags and other luggage, and weapons of any kind. (Please check back before attending the event for updates to this policy).
