Welcome to the Maraya Performing Arts Summer Arts Festival – a two-day experience full of family friendly fun, entertainment, food, and dancing.

Get ready for a day filled with amazing performances by our mini talented artists ages 3-7.

Come out and support our youngest student performers as they showcase their skills in dance, music, and theatre.

Also on this day, experience the world premiere of our newest version of Bayanihan: For Life. For Blood – a heartfelt jukebox musical featuring Maraya Academy students ages 7+, our Youth Touring Company (YTC), and professional dancers and actors from the community. Bayanihan includes music, contemporary dance, breakdancing, spoken word poetry, and DJ'ing.

The excitement continues as young performers of Maraya Academy ages 8+ showcase their skills in dance, music, and theatre.


The showcase includes a special guest performance by TV and stage actor Vincent Rodriguez III and a Student Awards Ceremony and spotlight the accomplishments and hard work of 'spotlight performer' students.

*VERY IMPORTANT* Use this El Cajon address in Google Maps to find the parking lot, even though Google will tell you the school address is on Orange Avenue. Orange Avenue is the front side of the school, and you need to enter from the back side of the school through the parking lot.

SEATING & TICKETS:

We offer assigned seating AREAS coded by color/section.

There is no assigned seating - we just have assigned seating AREAS. Seating is first come first serve in your respective AREA.


Premiere Seating offers the best view, and is likely to sell out first!


So our staff can best accomodate for seating, food, etc. please purchase tickets in advance. Early bird tickets are available, and tickets will increase during the week of show and day of show. Get your tickets in your preferred seating AREA while they last!

There are 3 tiers of ticket AREAS available:

  • PREMIERE – ORANGE – (Best Seating first 6 rows closet to the stage, center stage, first two rows left and right of stage)
  • TIER 2 - RED– include accessible seating
  • TIER 3 - GREEN – green seating is in the mezzanine furthest away from the stage, up a short flight of stairs after entering.
  • Grey - Seating Unavailable


WEEK OF TICKETS:

***Tickets purchased the week of June 3-7 will be $10 more.


DAY OF TICKETS:

***Tickets purchased on the day-of will be $15 more. NO CASH TAKEN ON SITE.


REDEEMING YOUR TICKETS:

* At the Box Office/Check-In Table - show your receipt, and state the name your tickets are under and the quantity purchased. We will give you a wristband and usher you to your respective seating area.

No comp tickets available. Each individual requires a ticket. Children ages 3+ need to purchase a ticket. No refunds & exchanges. All sales final.

FREE PARKING:

Park on the SECOND LEVEL P2 of the parking structure, make your way north toward El Cajon Blvd to the theater entrance.

Enter this El Cajon address into your GPS or Google Maps to get to the parking lot, although the school location is technically on Orange Avenue.

Other Rules & Notes:


  1. Please, absolutely no recording or photography during the show –– we have hired a full audio, photogoraphy, and video team for the show. A downloadable video link is included in your production fee. The link will be sent within 6 weeks.
  2. No refunds or exchanges ––ALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL, so please, make sure that you select the correct date(s) and seating area(s).
  3. Smoke/Fog machine & occasional strobe lighting effects may be in use within the show.
