Mapping Ireland's Records

ONLINE

27 July 2024 9:30am Pacific Time

Presented by John Grenham

The event is presented online via Zoom

John Grenham”s website, Irish Ancestors, https://www.johngrenham.com/, is a premier resource for people researching their Irish heritage. It includes name variations and distribution, place names and finding aids for the religious and civil divisions, maps, record sources and availability, and links to the major archives and databases.

The website has undergone major changes over that past year in mapping Irish surnames, record sources and geographic divisions. In this talk, John will cover these changes and how to deal with visualizations of Irish sources. The talk also provides a broad overview of the most relevant records for Irish research.

John will offer a 33% discount on the website subscription cost to attendees who register by July 30.

The event will take place via Zoom. If you join, please sign in early to make sure you are able to see the program.  We will send you instructions the night before, and a reminder shortly before the event, which will give you access. Our remote classes now have live closed captioning. When registering, use an email address you will be checking. Please note all times are Pacific Time
