Maple Sugaring!
Join us for everyone's favorite seasonal program, as we learn about the process, history and ecology of maple sap and syrup.
We will take an easy guided walk around The New Weis Center to learn how to identify Sugar Maples in winter, then we'll visit our tapped trees where we’ll show you how to tap, collect, and taste the sap, then see how the evaporator works and discuss the history of tree tapping. Close out the program by having a blind syrup taste test in our covered pavilion (with heaters)!
- Great idea for family and friends
- Dress appropriately as the program will be held outdoors
- Follow the driveway and park near the main brick building
- Non-refundable. In case of rain, snow or temperatures below freezing, the program will be rescheduled and you may choose the new date or a refund.
- Open to all ages. Under 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult.
