Unprecedented access to space coupled with innovative NASA policies, growing investment capital and the relentless advancement of micro-technologies is opening up vast new frontiers in commercial space.
Each time a new physics medium (electricity, vacuum, electromagnetism, etc.) has been harnessed it has led to an exponential growth in knowledge, benefits to humankind and wealth creation. Now the ability to exploit microgravity is opening up new pathways for (materials, biomedical, exomedicine, etc.) R&D, engineering and manufacturing in space...for potentially transformative applications on Earth and beyond.
In Kentucky, throughout the US and internationally enterprises are being created to take advantage of these exciting emerging opportunities.
This half-day workshop brings together entrepreneurs, investors, space professionals, NASA scientists, advanced manufacturing leaders and others to explore the various opportunities and challenges now being made possible through the design and manufacturing of dynamic new “products” off the planet Earth.
