Mansion Tour: Building a Home: Come get a look at the fully furnished interior of the Ames Mansion, including the ornate two-story library. On this 30 minute guided tour, explore the history of the Ames family and the mansion itself. First floor only. For adults and older children. Meet in front of the Ames Mansion. Rain or shine. Tour is free. Parking fees apply.

The Ames Mansion at Borderland State Park was built in 1910 by Oakes and Blanche Ames. This three-story stone mansion hosts twenty large rooms and is fully furnished, much as they were when the Ames family lived here.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

-Space is limited to 15 people per tour. Pre-register to ensure your spot on the tour.

-Masks are recommended.

-Tours are free. Parking fees do apply.

-Meet in front of the Ames Mansion at least 5 minutes BEFORE the tour starts. Once the tour enters the mansion, late comers will not be allowed in.

-First floor of the Ames Mansion is ADA accessible.

-Reasonable accommodations available upon request.
