Hike at George LeStrange Preserve (9:00am-11:00am) - Join us on this hike as we explore Florida’s wild landscapes, from different habitats to the role of fire in nature. We’ll dive into how preserves help balance fun and conservation, and check out how retention ponds are shaping Florida’s landscape.

ERD Guided Nature Program hikes are FREE, reservations are required, and space is limited. GNP season runs from October through June. The Oxbow Eco-Center is an Environmental Learning Center and nature preserve encompassing 225 acres along the St. Lucie River and located at 5400 NE St. James Drive in Port St. Lucie. Managed by the Environmental Resources Department of St. Lucie County, Oxbow Eco-Center is a place to learn about and enjoy the outdoors. Education programs are offered for St. Lucie County resident families, and visitors of all ages. Guided Nature Programs offer a glimpse into the 11,000 acres of preserve land in the county.
