Mandarin Bilingual Treasure Hunt in Overfelt Gardens

Overfelt Gardens is a San Jose city park,. It's diverse landscape, including ponds, gardens, and wooded areas, provides habitats for a wide range of bird species. In addition to birding, we'll delve into the treasures of Chinese culture within the garden. Don't miss out on this enriching experience!

Binoculars: Bring your binoculars, and if you have a scope, bring it along. If you require binoculars, kindly select the "binoculars loaner" option during registration on Eventbrite. Your preparedness ensures a more enjoyable birding experience for everyone.

Trip Difficulty: 2 miles. Flat paths made of asphalt good for all types of travel, by foot or chair. Mix of sun and shade on the trails.

Other Trip Notes: The trip may be canceled due to special weather considerations, such as rain or fog. In such cases, the lead will send an email in advance to notify about the cancellation. Please be attentive to your email before you embark on the trip.

Meet: Park entrance on McKee Rd

Directions: From US-101, take the McKee Rd exit east and make a U-turn at Jose Figueres Dr. The park will be immediately on your right. From I-680, take the McKee Rd. exit west and the park will be on the right after Jose Figueres Dr. Latitude/Longitude: 37.362792, -121.853985

Parking Type and Fees: ADA compliant street parking on McKee Rd. and on Educational Park Drive.

Facilities: Bathrooms are available (open at 10 am). Good cell phone service.
