About this event

We are pleased to announce that the sixth Manchester Vision Network Research Showcase and Networking Event will take place on Wednesday 19th July 2023 in the Zochonis Building at the University. This annual event provides a multidisciplinary forum for clinicians, researchers and technology developers, interested in ophthalmic and vision science.

The morning session will consist of oral and poster presentations. Contributions on any topic are welcome. This year the keynote speaker will be Professor Donald Miller of Indiana University, who will talk about his pioneering adaptive optics optical coherence tomography work https://www.millerimaginglab.org/ This talk will be delivered via zoom. A second keynote will be delivered by this year’s winner of the Janus Kulikowski Award.

The afternoon session will be in the format of an away day/networking event, bringing the MVN Community together from across the University and NHS Trust to identify key areas/themes for inter-disciplinary collaboration and to outline the next steps in securing the necessary funding. If you would like to suggest/promote a particular topic for discussion, email karen.hampson-2@manchester.ac.uk

The 2023 Small Award Scheme will be launched during the day.
