Management of ECMO for Respiratory Failure for Non-ECMO Specialists
For providers interested in receiving procedural training, an optional hands-on cadaver lab is available.
The course is intended for non-ECMO specialist interested in seeking a basic overview of ECMO support in patients with acute respiratory failure. Topics covered in this course include clinical scenarios that warrant consideration of ECMO, circuit configurations and associated physiology, and emergency scenarios that bedside clinicians are expected to troubleshoot. This session includes didactic instruction, interactive discussion of clinical cases, and hands-on ECMO simulations.
