Delivering a refreshing reinvention of their own brand of grassroots, Mama Said String Band has been making a big impact on the bluegrass scene & beyond since their debut in 2016.
Based out of Louisville Kentucky, Mama Said String Band is a four-piece collection of songwriters & players, David O’Neal, Katie “Didit” Caudill, Kaitlen Farmer, and Kris Potts. Each member brings a unique perspective with backgrounds spanning multiple cultures, genres, and styles. Together they draw influences from Bluegrass, Folk, Americana & more delivering well-crafted songs, soulful harmonies, excellent picking always delivering a heart-felt message within the music.
✧ The Hammer & The Hatchet
The Hammer & The Hatchet (John Bowyer & Jayme Hood) refined their musical artistries in the fabled hills of southern Indiana. They honed their skills and craft in the honest old-school tradition of doing the hard work with and for some of the most significant performers of the old/new music business.
With hundreds live performances in the last several years and several albums released, these road seasoned troubadours are swiftly traveling beyond their deep Bluegrass/New-grass/Americana roots, both musically and geographically, and into fresh territory where they have been defined as authentic, innovative and delightfully original!
