Do we need to have read the Autobiography of Malcolm X before we join?

Reading the book in advance is highly recommended, but not at all required! Asad will be reading passages from the book at various referenced sites for us. He's done all the work so you can enjoy the experience!

What are the distance, duration, and length of the tour?

The tour will cover close to two miles in two hours. Depending on the conversation and the speed of the group, it can extend10-30 minutes. It will begin on 135th street and end on 116th street. It is strongly suggested to wear clothes appropriate for the weather, along with good walking shoes.

Do I need to have a ticket to attend the tour?

Yes! Due to the nature of this event being a walking tour, we cannot host an unlimited number of people. A purchased ticket is necessary in order to join the walk.
