Description

Over the course of ten (10) sessions, our instructors provide in-person training to teachers, care providers and coaches preparing them to identify, understand, and apply stronger Preschool CLASS® interactions to their classrooms.

Why MMCI?

Teachers, care providers and coaches who participate in MMCI Preschool workshops:

  • Learn to identify and describe effective interactions in classrooms and care settings
  • Discuss ways to interact intentionally to increase children's learning
  • Gain access to MyTeachstone as well as valuable print and video resources aligned with CLASS® domains.

Participants can receive up to 20 professional growth hours for completing the series of ten MMCI Preschool sessions through Teachstone.

Workshop Information

Dates: Tuesdays & Thursdays; 1/8, 1/10, 1/15, 1/17, 1/22, 1/24, 1/29, 1/31, 2/5, 2/7

Time: 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Cost: $55 per series. Materials and light refreshments will be provided.

Who Should Attend?

Open to all center-based and family child care early learning programs and teachers serving preschool children in San Mateo County.

A separate MMCI training series for Infants & Toddlers will be offered in the spring of 2019.

  • Every participant must provide their CA ECE Workforce Registry ID Number to register and participate, and receive their Certificates of Completion. Visit www.caregistry.org to create a Registry ID Number if you do not already have one.
  • This training series is QRIS Teacher Stipend eligible. Stipends are paid to eligible participants only if a complete application packet is received by the deadline and participants attend all 10-sessions of this training. Visit our webpage (www.smcoe.org/QRISstipend) for more information about the stipend.
  • Do I need to register? Yes, we require registration and prepayment of fees to attend. No walk-ins are permitted.
  • Eventbrite service fees and credit card processing fees will added to total ticket price.
  • What's the refund policy? Fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
  • Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? Fees and tickets are non-transferrable to another participant or event. The name of the attendee must appear on the registration ticket.
