AI is most useful when you understand what its true capabilities are. AI is most dangerous when you don’t.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been the talk of the technology town for a few years now. While AI is not new, the release of ChatGPT to the public was revelatory and opened the floodgates of AI capabilities to the masses. Within months of release, companies began to release AI-enabled products and venture capitalists boosted AI companies with funding. All at once, AI went from sci-fi hype to a tangible service available 24/7. Meanwhile, people and businesses were left trying to figure out how to use these services without any kind of guidance or guardrails.

In this presentation, Connor Peoples, Founder and Owner of NoUseless.Tech, will help participants understand how to find the right guidance and for their businesses. If you're interested in avoiding the pitfalls of uninformed AI use, bring your questions! Connor's got answers and solutions.

INSTRUCTOR BIO: Connor Peoples is a new member of the Kingsport and Appalachia communities. His family moved to the area in 2024 to escape the brutal winters of Minnesota and have greatly enjoyed the change. He's a technology native with side passions in cooking and music. Connor founded his business, NoUseless.Tech to support his mission: ensuring that technology serves its users and not the other way around. Many tech firms see users as something to exploit instead of people to serve, and this has created great distrust and frustration. With experience in traditional and developing technologies, including AI, NoUseless.Tech is focused on making sure attainable and reliable technology expertise is available to everyone.
