Making Math Real: Overview

Opening Doors BRS Special Services PTA is a unit of the California PTA dedicated to supporting children with special needs including learning differences. We believe that every child, regardless of ability, deserves a quality education that can equip him/her for a better future.We support the special needs community in the Peninsula Bay Area by providingeducation to parents and the community through workshops and focus group, grants and scholarships to teachers, therapists, and other organizations, andadvocacy for equal rights and inclusion.

<H2>Making Math Real: Overview, K-12 | March 23-24</H2>
Sponsored by Opening Doors PTA
WHAT:  The Overview, K-12 course will provide the pedagogical foundations and practical applications of implementing and maintaining a comprehensive and fully structured multisensory methodology in mathematics. Come and learn how and why this multisensory structured approach is powerful, successful, unique, and entirely different from the way math has been traditionally taught.
WHEN:  Saturday and Sunday, March 23 and 24, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm daily. Registration begins at 8 am. Lunch will be provided.
WHERE:  College Center Building 10-195, College of San Mateo, 1700 West Hillsdale Boulevard, San Mateo. Parking: Forum Lot #8 or any open parking space on campus, free.
COST:  $20 Members and Belmont-Redwood Shores School District staff, $40 Non-Members, over $350 savings from the 2019 MMR-sponsored registration costs. <A HREF="https://www.openingdoorspta.org" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="Opening Doors PTA" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Opening Doors PTA</A> has drastically reduced the price of the <A HREF="http://www.makingmathreal.org/institute-course-descriptions/overview/" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="Making Math Real Overview" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Making Math Real Overview</A> workshop to make this exceptional clinical methodology accessible to everyone, as we believe the tranformative impact will be felt across diverse learning styles and abilities.
