About this event

In this two-day class, you will learn the techniques for making a river table while creating a mini table-top board. Topics include preparing the wood slabs, building molds, leak control, clamping, and epoxy mixing, tinting, and pouring. Students will return once the epoxy resin has cured to un-mold, plane and sand the table board to a nice luster. Your completed project can be used as a serving platter, charcuterie board, or given as a unique and custom gift. Final dimensions will be roughly 15" x 10" x 3/4".

Dates and Times:

  • 6/8 class meets on Sundays, 6/8 and 6/15, 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM each day.
  • 7/27 class meets on Sundays, 7/27 and 8/3, from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM each day.

Frequently asked questions

Are there any age restrictions for this class?

This class requires the use of power tools, which requires the attendee to be 14 years or older. Attendees below 18 years must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian throughout the entire class. If a parent or legal guardian is required to attend, only 1 ticket is required.

Do I need any safety equipment or special clothing?

Safety glasses or face shields, hearing protection, gloves, and dust respirators will be provided free of charge as needed. No loose clothing should be worn, long sleeves should be rolled up, long hair should be tied back. No open-toed shoes can be worn during classes.
