Maker Night

YAYA is a non-profit community arts and design studio, dedicated to the personal, professional, and artistic development of New Orleans youth. Our mission is to empower creative young people to become successful adults. We do this throughproviding educational experiences in the arts and entrepreneurship to New Orleans-area children and youth, fostering and supporting their individual ambitions.The YAYA Arts Center is an arts, educational, and entrepreneurial facility located in Central City.

<H2>Maker Night with Charity Poskitt Thursday, Dec. 7 & 21 | 6-9pm $25 | Adults </H2>
Come work with other makers in our refreshing outdoor ceramics studio! Bring your own refreshments and ideas. The workshops will be a self-guided creative exploration with YAYA staff on hand to provide tips and help with problem solving. Select a date on the top right side of this page. 
We provide:

<LI>Mosaic glass, glue, glass cutters, and table space (bring your own object to mosaic)</LI>
<LI>Firing and glazes for all ceramic projects </LI>
<LI>Drawing tools for all illustration projects</LI>
<LI>There are 3 pottery wheels available for sign up each night</LI>
<LI>Hand tools for ceramic sculpture and glass cutting</LI>
<LI>Vitreous enamels</LI>
<LI>A supportive environment for all skill levels</LI>
