CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Grab a friend or two and join us for a fun afternoon of creating your own tea blend! In this workshop, you'll learn about various herbs/teas, how to pair your ingredients, how it's best enjoyed and how they can support your wellbeing. We'll play a tea game and you'll also have a chance to win a prize!
You will design your blend, name it and package it to take home with you. All supplies provided. You'll have an opportunity to play with simple syrup flavors to add some flair to your cup!
Tea & light refreshments will be provided.
All attendees will receive a goody bag with a surprise tea blend from Savory Blends Tea Co.'s collection, steeping guide, teaspoon and tea infuser.
About the Instructor:
Lori, aka “The Tea Lady”, is the founder of Savory Blends Tea Co. Based in Richmond, VA, Lori is a life-long tea enthusiast and has traveled the world discovering teas to add to her ever -expanding collection. These days she enjoys creating custom blends and educating budding tea lovers about the medicinal benefits of tea. The inspiration to create Savory Blends Tea Co. was born after reading an article in "Essence" magazine about entrepreneurship. This sparked a light in her, and Savory Blends Tea Co. felt like the natural next step into her tea obsession. Her ultimate goal is to turn tea nay-sayers into tea lovers. She can usually be found hosting a tea party, workshop or at a festival/ local farmer's market chatting and pouring a sample of your soon to be favorite tea!

Yes! We are excited for any little aspiring makers to join us in the DIY classes, but we do ask that if your little is under 13 they are accompanied by an adult. Please know that some of our classes use sharp, hot, or otherwise hazardous tools for children’s use.
Yes! To substitute the event wine, we have a selection of local non-alcoholic options. Including canned coffee, water, or iced tea. Please let an associate know if you require a non-alcoholic option.
Our alcohol license prohibits the consumption of outside alcohol in our class area. Drinks are available for purchase at our Charlottesville location in Dairy Market at the Milkman Bar.
For a full refund to your original payment method, attendees must reach out to the Event Coordinator for a refund 3 days in advance of the class.
If an event is postponed, rescheduled, or cancelled, you will receive an email from the Event Coordinator to inform you of your refund options. If there is another upcoming class with the same instructor, you can also choose to transfer your ticket to a new date.
Our Old Town and Charlottesville locations are all wheelchair accessible for the class area. Our class tables are high tops, but let us know if you need folding table accommodations.
Yes! Our Shop Made gift cards can be used for classes, you will just need to contact the location directly to have the card processed in our system and we can manually enter you into the Eventbrite backend.
Nope! Teachers and Shop Made provide all class materials unless otherwise stated in the class description.
