CLASS DESCRIPTION:
In this hands-on workshop, I’ll guide participants in creating a one-of-a-kind floral candle using a handcrafted 5-inch round concrete vessel that our instructor made and pre-sealed, ready for use.
We’ll walk through the full process of filling the vessel with soy wax, adding fragrance oil, and then dive into the art of wax flower making using molds I’ll provide. Students will be able to experiment with two-tone color combinations to personalize their flowers. I’ll also explain the difference between the soy wax used for filling and the special blend used for sculpting the flowers.
By the end of the session, each participant will leave with a beautifully finished, flower-adorned candle—perfect as a unique gift or statement piece for home décor.
ABOUT OUR INSTRUCTOR:
Olga Kardonova is an artist and maker who creates unique concrete candles and home décor. She transforms simple materials like cement and wax into beautiful, functional art-often painting her vessels by hand to add a personal, artistic touch.
Her work blends creativity with craftsmanship, bringing warmth and personality into everyday spaces. She finds joy in both sculpting and painting, using each piece as a way to express herself and share beauty with others. For her, art is about storytelling, self-expression, and making the world a little more inspiring-one handmade piece at a time.
