Make & Take: Knife Making
Overview
Looking for that perfect, one-of-a-kind gift? Why not give the “Gift of Experience”? Our classes and workshops are the perfect unique alternative to a material gift for any occasion! Everyone should have a knife of their own…..be it for working outdoors, breaking down boxes or just cutting an apple. What better knife to have than one hand crafted by you to fit your grip perfectly. In this class you will choose from a multitude of knife designs, then create, customize and craft the handle with a wood of your choice molding the knife scales into the perfect grip just for you! Spots are limited, be sure to sign up early! All class participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions apply. Students should come properly attired for a woodworking class (tight fitting clothing, long hair restrained and constrained from the face); and bring or wear provided industry standard hearing protection and safety glasses during equipment operation. All woodworking classes are held in a store that sells a wide variety of woods, including exotic woods such as cedar, aromatic cedar and other products (e.g., finishes, cleaners, etc.) that may cause allergic or other reactions in a small number of cases. Each student should carefully consider their health and reaction to products around them when signing up for this or any of the Rockler woodworking classes. Considering a 1-on-1 private Instruction? Email us separately at store56@rockler.com to let us know what you’re interested in learning, and we’ll tailor a class to your exact needs. Learn exactly what you need, at your own pace: that’s what 1-on-1 private instruction is all about. (Not everything can be taught in a single class session; we’ll discuss this with you before the class.) Contact store for more details.
