About this event

Learn the basics of using the hand router while making your own personalized sign! In this class you'll learn how to use Rockler's Sign Making Template to create a custom sign. We'll also cover sawing, routing, sanding, and finishing techniques. All materials will be provided. Plus you'll take home your own personalized sign at the end of the class. All class participants receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased in the store on the same day of their class. Exclusions apply. Contact the store for more details at 571-435-8030.

Frequently asked questions

Are there any age restrictions for this class?

This class requires the use of power tools, which requires the attendee to be 14 years or older. Attendees below 18 years must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian throughout the entire class. If a parent or legal guardian is required to attend, only 1 ticket is required.

Do I need any safety equipment or special clothing?

Safety glasses or face shields, hearing protection, gloves, and dust respirators will be provided free of charge as needed. No loose clothing should be worn, long sleeves should be rolled up, long hair should be tied back. No open-toed shoes can be worn during classes.

I'm interested in a class that is not scheduled, do you offer custom classes based on my interests?

If you are interested in a private class, custom class tailored to your specific needs, or a special group class, please call your local store and speak directly to a Manager. We'll do our very best to meet your requirements while providing a great experience.
