Lacey MakerSpace provides hands-on learning in a collaborative, creative workspace where people come to explore new skills and bring ideas to life. The space supports makers at every stage, from first-time creators to experienced artists and fabricators.The space is equipped with a wide range of tools for creative making, including 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC tools, woodworking, metalworking, textiles, and more—supporting both artistic expression and hands-on skill-building.Lacey MakerSpace operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and is made possible through strong community support. Ever wonder how books are made? Let's make one! You'll learn all the parts of a modern “case-bound” book and take one home; created by you!

Get ready to embark on an extraordinary journey that combines tradition, innovation, and boundless (yet hardbound) imagination! You’ll learn about materials, measurements, tools, tricks and more to create a small, hand-made personal book. All materials included in ticket cost.Instructor Bio: Tom Boucher has been handmaking books for forty years in runs of up to many dozens to tell his off-kilter stories, his family's history, to honor Valentine's Day, and many more uses. He has taught his simple modern method in book stores, classrooms, and art galleries such as <a href="https://galleryboomshop.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Gallery Boom</a>. T﻿om also has art displayed and for sale at Gallery Boom, <a href="https://galleryboomshop.com/collections/tom-boucher" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">check it out here!</a>**Closed toe shoes are required. Ages 12 and up can attend. Attendees under the age of 18 must have a guardian present at all times.*﻿Waivers must be signed before class. Can be done in person or <a href="https://form.jotform.com/230456799633064" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">online here</a>Class refund policy:  - 7 calendar days or more before the class start date: Refunds will be given, minus a 10% service fee (Eventbrite fees non-refundable)- 6 calendar days to 2 days before class start date: Refunds, minus a 10% service fee, will be issued in the form of a credit voucher to be applied to a future offering within 1-year of the issue date. - No refunds issued within 48 hours of any class offering.
