Overview

Learn MIG welding basics in this hands-on class! Create a metal project, build skills, and stay safe.

Learn the basics of MIG welding and safety in this project-based class taught by Fred, in this 3-hour evening class.

In this course, you'll learn proper techniques for welding joints, and grinding and finishing as you make your own take home project. Attendees can choose from the lizard, wrench bird feeder or the butterfly projects.

Class includes:
• instruction on how to safely operate a MIG welder
• practical hands-on experience completing your very own welded steel project
• all materials to complete one geometric bowl, wine holder OR cactus sculpture.
• proficiency on MIG welder for members of Lacey MakerSpace*

NOTE: Please select the ticket option that matches the project you wish to make in class so we can have the correct materials prepped for class.

*LMS members must demonstrate proficiency on equipment before independent use. Completing this course or attending Basics classes satisfies that requirement.
