Lacey MakerSpace provides hands-on learning in a collaborative, creative workspace where people come to explore new skills and bring ideas to life. The space supports makers at every stage, from first-time creators to experienced artists and fabricators.The space is equipped with a wide range of tools for creative making, including 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC tools, woodworking, metalworking, textiles, and more—supporting both artistic expression and hands-on skill-building.Lacey MakerSpace operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and is made possible through strong community support. Add a beautiful, locally milled, handmade (by you!) side/coffee table to your home!

There’s nothing quite like the feeling of making something with your own hands and getting the satisfaction of seeing a project through - from beginning to end. Come spend an afternoon with us and go home with new knowledge, skills, great memories, and a beautiful piece of furniture you can feel proud of! During the workshop, you’ll learn some basic woodworking and power tool skills, sanding and finishing techniques, and more. Beginners are welcome and encouraged. *Please note: ticket prices DO NOT include the price of the wood slab. Attendees will get to select their own live edge wood slabs; prices generally range from $20-75 depending on size and wood species. Selections will be purchased at the beginning of class. 16&quot; black hairpin legs (as seen in photos) are included, along with all other materials to complete your own table. Bethany Hannah is our volunteer instructor for this course. She was the program manager for a nonprofit urban sawmill in Sacramento, CA, called Urban Wood Rescue [https://urbanwoodrescue.com/]. She loves working with live-edge wood and empowering others to do the same. Bethany grew up in Olympia, but is spending the winter in California. She is still a current member of the Lacey MakerSpace and offers classes when she comes to visit family. Wood available for purchase is all locally sourced, locally milled.Covid Protocols:<ul><li>Masks required at all times any time attendees are indoors at the Lacey MakerSpace.</li><li>Attendees will be required to complete a Covid19 Health Check prior to class.</li><li>Please wash hands frequently and maintain social distance whenever possible while at the MakerSpace. </li></ul>
