Have you always wanted to learn jewelry making? Do you love banging ass food? Have you been looking for a new side hustle or maybe a new hobby? Do you love supporting black own businesses?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, this workshop is for you! The Make Jewelry Eat Burgers workshop will be hosted by artist/maker Sydney Bell. This hands on workshop is beginner friendly and was designed to introduce you to the art of jewelry making and serve as a creative outlet for self expression! Your host will be there to provide demonstrations, step by step instructions and to lend a helping hand as needed.
What you’ll learn in this workshop: Join us to learn how to hand make earrings to wear or to sell. This workshop will teach you the basic techniques of jewelry assembly and design with the use of round and flat nose pliers. You will learn how to turn jump rings, attach findings and metals to custimize a pair of earrings that are unique to you while gaining confidence and skill. What you make in the workshop is yours to take home. Tools are loaned out for the duration of the class.
Eligibility: This is a beginner friendly workshop, no previous experience required. Open to ages 13 and up.
