Make it with MoFA: Mattering
Overview

How do the objects around you speak to you? Come to MoFA to co-create and celebrate Thing-Power!

How do the objects around you speak to you? Come to MoFA to co-create and celebrate Thing-Power!

Inspired by “𝙇𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧,” this freeform workshop invites you to take a brief tour of the exhibition and create works of art that explore our relationship with the things around us. Through a series of prompts, collaborative discussion, and artmaking, this event will inspire creative thinking, imagination, and reflection on how our human bodies relate to non-human objects.

We encourage you to bring personal items you would like to include in your work of art, or photos of things you feel connected to (we can even print an image for you).

We will offer two sessions in MoFA’s lower gallery on Thursday, April 9th, 3:00-4:30 pm and 5:30-7:00 pm.

Pre-registration is required; sign up through this event page or talk to a MoFA staff member for more information. All materials will be provided, and free parking will be available in the Call Street Garage.
