Learn to use our dovetail router jig through making a solidwood box. In this course you will learn basic router safety and operation, and will become familiar with the Rockler Complete Dovetail Jig.

Box dimensions will roughly be 10W x 12 L x 6H. If students finish their pieces in a timely manner, they can make a lid for the box during class.



Closed toed shoes are required. Safety Glasses are provided and required. Hearing protection is required for those under 18.
Anyone ages 12 and up are welcome. Attendees under the age of 18 must have a legal guardian present at all times.

What's your refund policy?

• Refunds (minus 10% service fee) are available if canceled 7+ days before class. • Cancellations 2-6 days before class will receive a credit voucher (minus 10% service fee) for future use (valid for 1 year). • No refunds within 48 hours of the start date. Eventbrite fees are non-refundable.

What should I wear?

Closed-toed shoes at all times at the Lacey MakerSpace. Dress comfortably; PPE (proper protective equipment) is provided by LMS. Welding/woodworking courses have additional guidelines, which will be outlined in specific class descriptions.

How old do you have to be to take a class at Lacey MakerSpace?

We welcome participants ages 12 and up! --Ages 12–15 can join with a parent or guardian who stays on-site and provides active supervision throughout the class. --Ages 16–17 are welcome to attend alongside a parent or guardian and may work on their own project.

The Lacey MakerSpace empowers our local community to by providing access to fabrication tools and hands-on learning, allowing makers to design, collaborate, and produce creative projects.

We have a growing collection of 3D printers, laser cutter/engravers, cnc routers, welders, cnc plasma cutter, woodshop, 3D scanners, vacuum formers, embroidery & sewing machines, and much more.
