NE Seattle Tool Library

Let's turn small mason jars, cups, pots or other vessels into pin cushions! We'll have all the supplies you need, but you're welcome to bring fabric scraps, jars or supplies. This is a beginner-friendly class that involves hand sewing and glue guns.About the instructors, Jen Yasis &amp; Susan Gregory: Jen and Susan are both frequent instructors at our tool libraries and they bring a wealth of sewing and craft experience to their classes.Our sliding scale for classes helps to reduce barriers for participation while retaining sufficient income for Seattle REconomy, which owns and operates the NE Seattle and Shoreline tool libraries. Please choose the level that best fits your family’s income.ACCESSIBILITY:<ul><li>Much of the NE Seattle Tool Library interior is wheelchair accessible. All entrances have ramps that may exceed a 5 degree slope. The all-gender restroom is quite small and not ADA compliant.</li><li>Non-English and ASL interpreters are not provided at our classes and events, however attendees are welcome to bring their own interpreters.</li><li>Please contact us with any accessibility notes or requests.</li></ul>GETTING THERE:<ul><li>By transit: Served by King County Metro bus <a href="https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/metro/routes-and-service/schedules-and-maps/372.html" title="https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/metro/routes-and-service/schedules-and-maps/372.html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">route 372</a> stopping along Lake City Way NE at NE 98th St. <a href="https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/metro/routes-and-service/schedules-and-maps/061.html" title="https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/metro/routes-and-service/schedules-and-maps/061.html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Route 61</a> stops at NE Northgate Way &amp; 23rd Ave NE and is a ½ mile walk from the tool library.</li><li>By bike: There are multiple bicycle route options available to the tool library, and you are welcome to stow your bicycle inside the tool library during your visit.</li><li>Car parking: There is a gravel parking lot that fits about 10 cars, and an asphalt parking lot that fits 5 cars. There is no ADA accessible parking.</li></ul>
