Make a Mug: A Stoneware Handbuilding Workshop

Skip the pottery wheel — this is your chance to create your own custom mug from scratch.

In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll handbuild a one-of-a-kind stoneware mug using simple slab and pinch techniques. We’ll guide you step-by-step through shaping your mug, attaching a handle, and refining your piece so it’s both functional and uniquely yours.

No experience needed — just come ready to get a little messy and have fun.

After your session, we’ll dry, fire, and professionally glaze your mug in a specialty finish selected to enhance its texture and form. Your piece will be fired a second time, making it fully food-safe and ready to use.

🕰 Pickup: Ready in approximately 4–6 weeks (we’ll text you when it’s ready)

• Each guest must have their own ticket
• Projects cannot be shared
• Handbuilding class (no pottery wheel)
• Most beginner results are small to medium mugs
• Glazing is completed by our team
• Due to the nature of ceramics, variations in shape and glaze are expected and part of the process

Ages 16 and up.

All people must be registered, no spectators

No open-toed shoes.

Fingernails may get dirty or break.

Wear comfortable clothing that can get messy (no skirts/dresses/kilts).

No loose jewelry or rings.

Long hair should be tied back.
