Create a one-of-a-kind notebook just in time for gift-giving! In this class, you’ll learn how to cut, fold, and bind paper into a small custom notebook.
Covers are made of heavier paper/card stock and should be interesting to look at! Binding can be hand-sewn, machine-sewn, or stapled. Pages can be plain, lines, or printed (I love the dot grids).
All tools and materials provided!
Materials – Printed card stock for covers, plain and printed good-quality paper for the pages, and various threads for hand stitching.
Feel free to bring your own printed paper/cardstock if you have a specific design you want to work with. It’s easy to customize these by printing or copying your design onto cardstock – around 67 to 80 lb works well as long as your printer can feed it through.
Tools used- craft knives, a bench block for accurate folding, a scoring board for covers, a punching cradle, a saddle stapler, and a corner rounder. We will discuss alternate tools if you don’t have access to these and want to make more books after class.
