About this event
This class is for all Americans who have a loved one in the military, police, or is a first responder. Or you may want to remember someone who gave their last full measure to our country or our community by making something to honor their memory and remind you of their service. If you are called to take this class, you will learn how to make a beautiful flag case that will house our country's flag. You will be using a number of power tools during the class. The case will be made out of walnut and of course, in the shape of a folded flag. All materials will be provided, even the glass. The flag is not included. The many different finishes that can be applied to the case will be discussed along with the methods of application. The actual finishing is beyond the scope of the class and will be left up to the student. Students have the option of providing their own eye and ear protection or it can be provided.
