Event: Make a dormouse box!

Come join us at The Green Barn on Mon Jun 03 2024 at 6:00 PM to learn how to make a cosy dormouse box as part of the Festival of Nature! It's going to be a fun and educational evening where you can get creative and help support our local wildlife.

Hosted by the Forestry England Rangers, you'll also find out about how manage Leigh Woods and want you can do to look after it when you visit.

No experience is necessary, but you should be prepared to wear gloves, use hand tools including hammers, drills and glue and follow all instructions given by the Rangers. All materials will be provided.

Can I bring my dog?

No, thank you! We will be hands on building boxes in a small space. This is not suitable for four-legged friends.

Is there an age limit?

No but everyone attending must be able to full participate, follow all instructions and safely use hand tools as instructed. We suggest ages 8+ will get the most from this session.

Who is this event for?

Anyone interested in learning about wildlife, Leigh Woods, building simple crafts out of wood.
