Main Event 2019

Opened in 1863, Old Main served as the main building of the Galesville University campus, the first university in western Wisconsin. Today, Old Main is becoming well known across the region as a destination for the arts and history under the direction of our invaluable volunteers. Our mission is to establish and maintain a regional cultural center which preserves the past, promotes the arts, and inspires ideas through personal & community involvement.Our History & Genealogy Committee catalogs, preserves, and displays artifacts and historical documents from throughout the region. The entire historical library is available online at WWW.OLDMAIN.ORG for easy access. Our Gale Star Music & Art Series offers concerts appealing to a broad range of musical interests. Gale Star proudly features many professional, aspiring, and student musicians, a monthly art display, and drama productions. Our Summer Concert Series offers free outdoor concerts in June, July, and August.As always, we could not continue to operate Old Main without your continued support, support from our community, and the aid of our dedicated volunteers. We truly thank you!
