Mahjong 103: More Strategy, More Stats, Even More Fun!
If you're feeling comfy with the basics, it’s time to step it up! Mahjong 103 is where we lean into strategy, sprinkle in some stats, and play a whole lot more.

We’ll cover smart tile moves, Charleston tactics, and how to use a little logic (and maybe a little luck) to up your game. Expect laughs, “aha!” moments, and plenty of play with fellow Mahjong lovers.

Whether you’ve taken 101 and 102 or just want to sharpen your skills, this session is your next move.

Join us at Atwater in the Park. Tiles will click, drinks may clink, and the fun is guaranteed.

What if I have never played Mahjong, can I take this class?

We love the enthusiasm but this one’s for those who’ve already got the basics down! If you know how to set up a game, understand the Charleston, and can follow along with a playing card, you’re good to go. If you're brand new to Mahjong, keep an eye out for our next Mahjong 101!

What is Mahjong?

Mahjong is a tile-based game, similar to Rummy, where players aim to form winning combinations of tiles.

Do I need to bring my own Mahjong set?

You don’t need to bring a thing. Bring your lovely self and maybe your lucky earrings! We’ve got all the Mahjong sets, racks, tiles, and good vibes ready for you. Just show up, sip something fun, and let the games begin!

What is the National Mah Jongg League Playing card?

National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) playing card is a document that outlines the valid winning hands (or "hands") for a specific year, published annually by the NMJL.

How many people will play at a table?

4 people per table but we can should you how to play with 3, 2 or even 5 !
