Lana Ryder has been sharing the healing power of sound, voice and music for fifty years in one way or another. These events fill quickly. Participants benefit from the presenter having studied with some of the best sound therapy teachers in the field and her experience of having directly seen the beneficial effects of sound therapy with hundreds of clients in private practice over the past twenty-three years as well as in group sound meditations the past ten years. She created ReikiSound™️, ReikiVoice™️, and Soundwise Voice curriculum, introducing massage, energy, holistic and healthcare practitioners to the fundamentals of using sound, voice and music.  "Sound Therapy: An Introduction to the Fundamentals, Beginning to Use Sound, Voice and Music in the Healing Arts" has expanded to a seven month curriculum as The Soundwise School of Harmonic Therapy.Lana is an energy and sound therapist, certified holistic health coach, holistic practices educator, reiki master-teacher, professional vocalist and past board member of the Interdisciplinary Society for Quantitative Research in Music and Medicine. She is a former worship music director, ordained minister and spiritual peer counselor, instructor at two area massage schools and previous Clinical Coordinator of Massage and Body Therapies at WellSpan Health. She has been in private practice for 30 years throughout the central Pa. area.Guest assistant presenters include trained and experienced sound therapists, most are graduates of the Soundwise School in addition to other trainings, education and holistic programs.

We are so happy to welcome Ed Haggard and The Love Drums to Soundwise! 🥁🔥 Ed is a beloved percussionist, drum teacher, and longtime drum circle facilitator who radiates joy through rhythm. Since launching The Love Drums in 1995, Ed has brought high-energy, neo-tribal percussion to communities across the country—rocking both the Nashville and Lancaster scenes and lighting up festivals for over two decades. Now based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, The Love Drums blends traditional African drumming, original grooves, and global influences into a pulse that gets people dancing. Their performances are interactive, uplifting, and rooted in community, often sparking spontaneous dance and shared joy. 🎶 At Soundwise, Ed will lead a Drum Circle bringing decades of experience, deep reverence for the drum, and a contagious spirit of play! Come learn, drum, dance, and connect with The Love Drums… a rhythmic celebration of sound, soul, and togetherness. No experience necessary. Enter through the double wooden doors on the left front of the building. Someone will be there to let you in from 1:30-1:50pm. Door is locked after that! Second floor, Suite 273 - elevator or stairs. Drums provided or bring your own drum or percussion. Ed will also have some of his handcrafted shakers for sale.
