MADMAN LIVE!
Join M.F. Gross for a live true crime talk on the 1949 Rastus Russell murders. Free event, book signing after. Arrive early—seating is limit
Doors Open at 6:30 pm. All seating is FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED
Join true crime author M.F. Gross for a LIVE Presentation of his Amazon Bestselling Book, Madman, the TRUE story of Rastus Russell and the 1949 torture/murders and manhunt that terrified Tampa Bay in 1949. Gross’s prior live appearances have riveted audiences and have been covered by Fox News and The Tampa Bay Times. Described as “Like a Stephen King novel but REAL,” Madman is currently under consideration by both Netflix and FX Network for a mini-series.
For the May appearance, Gross plans to dive into the macabre Palm Harbor murders that garnered national attention, and then focus on Russell’s violent escape from the Pinellas County Jail (then in downtown Clearwater) and retrace Russell’s steps through downtown Clearwater that haunted residents and baffled authorities.
The author will be available to autograph books afterwards. Copies of Madman will be available at the event. All proceeds benefit the Clearwater Historical Society. Admission is free but donations are gladly accepted at the door. True Crime fans, History buffs, and anyone interested in a great night of entertainment will enjoy this event! No children under 16 are permitted as some of the content is graphic in nature. Viewers are advised to arrive early as a full house is expected.
