We specialize in the art of craft beer. Our philosophy is that there is a beer for everyone (of legal drinking age, of course!) and we want all of our guests to find a beer (or six) that they love. Because of that, our beer selection is constantly changing. At any given time, you're apt to find a hazy IPA, blonde, Kölsch, fruited sour, pale ale, imperial stout, or West Coast IPA on our beer board.N﻿ot a beer drinker? Don't worry--we've got hard seltzer, hard cider, wine, non-alcoholic beer, soda, sparkling water, iced tea, and apple juice too!Hungry? Join Around The Horn and ROOFBB for an evening of great food and drinks, community fun, and charitable giving at Madison's Backyard Benefit Bash as we come together to help 23-month-old Madison Borges in her fight against brain cancer.📅 Wednesday, August 5 🕔 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM 📍 Around The Horn Brewing Company (17820 State Highway 120, Groveland, CA 95321)<h4>🍽️🍺 Dinner and Drinks:</h4>Dinner will consist of pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, salad, and fresh watermelon.Dinner will be served from 5 pm to 7 pm.Tickets are $25 (pre-sale). If supplies last we will sell tickets at the door for $30, however there is no guarantee we will have enough food for walk-ins.You do NOT need a dinner ticket to attend the event.100% of the proceeds from dinner tickets sold will be donated to the Borges family.Beer, hard seltzer, beer slushies, hard cider, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. 75% of all beer, seltzer, and slushies sold for on-site consumption will be donated to the Borges family.<h4>🎯 Games:</h4>The ladies of ROOFBB will host a variety of fun games (for kids and grown-ups) in The Corral beer garden. She and her twin sister Elizabeth turn two in August, and big sister Emily is four years old. Their parents Daniel and Kimberly are almost lifelong locals; Dan moved to Groveland at age three and Kim moved in elementary school.The Borges’s lives were turned upside down in May. They were heading home from UC Davis after Madison’s routine MRI appointment when the hospital called and said to return immediately. They received the news that a large mass was discovered, and emergency surgery was scheduled the next day.The proposed five-hour surgery took almost 11 hours. One week later, on June 3, the doctors determined the mass was a very aggressive brain cancer (Medulloblastoma type 4), and although the mass was removed during the surgery, they were concerned it had spread.Since May 27, little Madison has been in the hospital. She has had multiple additional surgeries to insert shunts, feeding tubes, and ports. She will undergo six rounds of chemotherapy over the next 10 months, with at least three of those sessions requiring three+ weeks of hospitalization.The emotional toll Madison’s diagnosis has taken on the Borges family is inexplicable, a pain most of us truly cannot understand. The financial toll is easier to measure; as Kim focuses her time raising the three girls, Dan is the source of income for the family. Since Madison’s diagnosis, Kim has not left Madison’s side at the hospital, and Dan has had to reduce his working hours significantly to care for the other kiddos and to be there to support his little Madi. Daycare, hotels, gas, meals eaten on the road—all these expenses add up fast and will quickly drain a family’s resources.Our goal is to raise at least $5,000 for the Borges family with this event. It’s a modest sum in the grand scheme of things, but we hope that it will allow them to focus on what is most important: Madison’s recovery.
