About this event

Get ideas, learn from others' experience, and share tips for what to do and what to avoid. Gain inspiration and knowledge on how to make your yard more eco-friendly and easier/less expensive to maintain. Find out how and why to eliminate toxic pesticides and herbicides, and shrink your lawn by replacing it with native plants and trees that better support our ecosystem -- from feeding humans and wildlife to creating cleaner air and water, and preventing flooding.

RSVP required.

And click here for garden addresses and descriptions.

Start at 12 Fairwood Rd. to sign in, and visit booths with experts from the Native Plant Society of NJ, Electric Landscaping (quiet and clean yard maintenance), Friends of the Drew Forest (with self-guided tour info), Madison Environmental Commission (get free seeds!), Java's Compost (advice on home composting), North American Butterfly Association, and Great Swamp Watershed Association. It's also in walking distance to the first 2 gardens on the list.

We're limiting the number of handouts at the event, so bring your phone or mobile device to scan QR codes, and we'll follow up with you after the event with a link to all kinds of great resources where you can learn more about eco gardening and sustainable yard care practices.

See you soon!
