Unit J – Brooklyn’s Beloved DIY Venue

For the past decade, Unit J has been a home for independent music in Bushwick. This intimate DIY venue—literally someone’s living room—offers a cozy atmosphere, a full stage, and a bar. It was even nominated for "Best Live Music Venue in Brooklyn" by Brokelyn.com!

We're celebrating Madi's Birthday with a night of heartfelt songs, good company, and good vibes. The evening will open with a set from Hero Magnus, then Dru Cutler—cofounder of Unit J—who will introduce the space with a few songs of his own. After we’ll be treated to sets by Maya Shaw and of course, Madi Task herself.
