City Lit Books is pleased to host a cookbook talk with Clarissa Wei in celebration of her cookbook, Made in Taiwan. She will be in conversation with Kevin Pang, author of A Very Chinese Cookbook. This event will feature a talk and Q&A, followed by a cookbook signing. Copies of both books will be available to purchase at the event.

Clarissa Wei is a freelance journalist based in Taipei. Born in Los Angeles but raised on the food of Taiwan, she has been writing about the cuisines and cultures of Taiwan and China for over a decade. Her writing has been published in The New York Times, The New Yorker, the Los Angeles Times, and Bon Appétit. She has produced videos on cross-strait tensions for VICE News Tonight, 60 Minutes, and SBS Dateline.


Kevin Pang is the author of A Very Chinese Cookbook. He's a contributing writer for The New York Times, most recently leading coverage for the Best 25 Restaurants lists in Chicago and Boston. He's a winner of the James Beard Foundation Award and a 5-time nominee.
