The Museum of Art and Digital Entertainment is a 501c(3) nonprofit aimed at expanding access to our digital heritage and celebrating the diversity of its contributors. We do this by preserving digital entertainment, restoring its playability, educating about its creation, and using it to engage the community.

Age Range: Around 8 to 13 years oldDescription: This class is a 1.5 hour lesson that teaches students how computers store, draw, and animate images to produce the illusion of movement.Students will learn<ul><li>How to critically analyze video games for artifacts of rendering techniques</li><li>How computers store, draw, and animate images</li><li>How to use free tools to explore computer graphics</li></ul>The class will start with a short lecture about computer graphics, followed by some hands-on time experimenting with a free rendering platform. Finally, students will have a chance to learn about the history of rendering by playing games on the exhibit floor!
