At the 36-acre Bush Terminal Campus, NYCEDC is leading a transformation of the historic waterfront site to deliver new spaces for growing industries, a dynamic employment hub, and a resilient public realm.
The North portion of Bush Terminal—known as MADE Bush Terminal, for Manufacturers, Artisans, Designers, Entrepreneurs—offers amenities,and indoor and outdoor gathering space to support the City’s manufacturing communities and their skills.

Join Madame Architect, nARCHITECTS’ Mimi Hoang, the NYCEDC’s Waverly Neer, and design strategist Ashley Mendelsohn for a live Q&A on the design and activation of the campus.
Mimi Hoang, Co-Founder of nArchitects: Mimi Hoang, AIA, NOMA, Co-Founding Partner, nARCHITECTS: Mimi Hoang co-founded nARCHITECTS with Eric Bunge with a belief in architecture as an agent of positive change that connects people and environments in unexpected ways. An ambition to respond to changes in contemporary life while fostering social engagement guides her work across civic and private realms. Currently an Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia University, she received her M.Arch from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and her B.S. in Art and Design from M.I.T.
Waverly Neer, Vice President, Asset Mangement at NYCEDC: Waverly Neer is the Vice President in Asset Management at the New York City Economic Development Corporation. Previously, she was in Capital Asset Management at Sentral, and prior to that, was the Industrial Portfolio Manager at Industry City. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Planning, Public Policy, and Management from the University of Oregon.
Moderator - Ashley Mendelsohn, Design Strategist: Ashley is a Strategist focused on creating opportunities for mission-driven organizations. Formerly Senior Strategy Lead at PinPoint Collective, her approach is built on a decade of nonprofit experience, including curating architecture at the Guggenheim Museum and teaching at Cornell and Harvard Universities. Ashley is on the advisory board of Madame Architect and regularly serves as a guest critic and jury member, recently for the United States Artists 2025 Fellowship. Ashley holds an MDes from Harvard Graduate School of Design and a B.Arch from Cornell University.
