The Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing and Regional and Rural Development - Queensland Manufacturing Hubs are hosting Outsource Institute to deliver Introduction to CAD training in June 2025.
Over 2 weeks participants will undertake 2 units of competency:
- MEM30031A - Operate computer-aided design (CAD) system to produce basic drawing elements
- MEM30033A - Use computer-aided design (CAD) to create and display 3-D models
Upon completing these units, students will be able to operate CAD software to produce basic 2D drawings (MEM30031A) and create, manipulate, and display 3D models (MEM30033A). They will gain foundational skills in computer-aided design, enabling them to contribute to technical drawing and design tasks in a manufacturing/engineering setting.

Cost: $300 - note: a subsidy of $1,300 per person is provided by the Mackay Manufacturing Hub as the full cost of the course is $1,600 pp
