Whether you are familiar, or a novice, this class will help you become more comfortable with sewing machines and their parts. In this class we will cover:<ul><li>The different types of machines found in our shop: Domestic single needle, industrial single needle, domestic overlock, and industrial overlock.</li><li>How to change thread in a sewing machine- when it is already threaded.</li><li>What to do if you accidentally unthread a machine you have never threaded???</li><li>How to change a bobbin.</li><li>How to thread a bobbin.</li><li>How to change a needle when it breaks.</li><li>What the different feet do on a machine and why you need them.</li><li>Preparing your fabric for machine sewing</li><li><ul><li>Pressing fabric</li><li>Basting</li><li>Pinning</li><li>Clips</li></ul></li><li>Practice sewing on all machine types. Will get practice on industrials to gain comfort. </li><li><ul><li>Straight Stitch</li><li>Backstitch</li><li>Zigzag</li><li>Overlock</li></ul></li></ul>Feel free to bring your own machine to learn on as well! We will be making a little take home porject by the end to show off your new skills!There will be a lunch break! Snacks will be provided, but not a whole lunch.
