CarpentryCon is the key biennial community-building and networking event in The Carpentries' calendar of activities. This event brings together newer and more experienced community members to share knowledge, to network, to develop new skills, and to develop strategies for building strong local communities.

Each has differing aims and objectives but there is still a lot of overlap between them. This session will help to improve coordination between these lessons and discuss common issues.Intended Audience: This session should be of interest to anybody involved with or interested in developing machine learning content. Outcomes:This session is to try and help the developers of these lessons to:<ul><li>Meet each other. </li><li>Share experiences of developing and teaching machine learning with each other.</li><li>Identify areas that different courses overlap and where they differ.</li><li>Understand who the audience(s) for machine learning courses are and how requirements differ between different groups of learners.</li><li>What pre-requisite skills are required before people can start to learn about machine learning and how they can acquire those skills (and whether we need additional lessons to be created to teach them). </li><li>Develop persona profiles for learners on these courses.</li></ul>PREREQUISITESInterest or involvement with developing machine learning training.
