And yet there is no room to add more horsepower to your only one server? Or you are farsighted enough to see that your database will not endure workload after go live? Well, horizontal scalability is an evolutionary logical way to you. But you do not want to say goodbye to your precious relational database? If we are talking about PostgreSQL - there is a couple of options for you. We will look into most popular approaches and review closely particular one - extension Citus.
