LUST FOR LIFE returns Sunday, JUNE 30th at Dorothy as our every-other-month rock n' roll burlesque show! Hosted, Produced, & Curated by Kitty Tornado & Greta-X, you don't want to miss this showcase that's a celebration of bodies and rock n' roll!

Lust for Life was born from a lifelong love for rock n’ roll and badass self-expression. Named after the iconic 1977 punk album of the same title by Iggy Pop, Kitty and Greta aim to bring a variety of rock-based burlesque and boylesque acts to Dorothy each month with their co-curated line-ups against a soundtrack of timeless riffs! These badass babes hope to put on an evening that electrifies, delights, and celebrates TWO classically-rebellious forms of art TOGETHER AT ONCE: rock n’ roll music and burlesque striptease!

For June, Kitty and Greta celebrate the SWINGIN’ SIXTIES and welcome in guest performers Catty Wompass, Harlie Hellfire, Morteisha Addams, Nelly Clementine, and Vixen Violencia!

Doors 6PM / show starts at 7PM! Arrive early for best seating opportunities! Come dressed in your grooviest, most rainbow-spangled 60s attire as we will be giving away some special prizes for our favorite looks!

All guests must provide a physical ID (21+) for entry. If you are a guest who requires a seat and purchases an “Entry” only ticket - please reach out before the show and we will reserve a limited seat for you!

ABOUT THE CREATORS

Kitty Tornado (she/her) Kitty first blew her way into burlesque when she moved from Michigan to Chicago in 2014 and performed throughout the Midwest until 2019. With a degree in theater production as a “behind the scenes bitch,” she never imagined that she would love the stage time and getting naked for the masses! She loves burlesque most for its creativity and liberation. Kitty spent a few years on a performance hiatus, and traveled across Europe while living overseas in España before returning to Chicago and becoming the Co-Creator/Producer of Lust for Life. When not storming the stage, she ‘grams about travel and food, hides her secret identity in the corporate world and eats as many famous burgers as she possibly can. Greta-X (she/her) is a visual artist and audiophile who first sank her crooked teeth into local burlesque in 2017. A “Learning Queen,” for the past four years, Greta worked toward two Master’s degrees, and she has cultivated an artistic practice exploring femme autonomy and collaboration through documentary photography and writing. Bringing together her love of rock music, glitter, and glamorous gender-bending, she’s the smartest ass at the top of the class… with flex n’ sex, it’s Greta-X! @ericamckeehen

ABOUT THE PERFORMERS

Catty Wompass (she/her) is a buxom beauty with a sapphic appetite! Based in Chicago, she performs and teaches all over the Midwest and co-produces Bawdy Bawdy Ha Ha, the premier burlesque and variety show in Eastern Iowa. She won the title Most Enchanting at the Great Burlesque Exposition and has been recently featured in the Ohio, Show Me, and Vancouver International Burlesque Festivals. She’ll steal your heart and your girlfriend — she's just a little askew — she's Catty Wompass! @misscattywompass

Rumor has it this demon bat from the bowels of hell crawled through fire and decay to make herself a little home inside the daywalker she currently resides in. Morteisha Addams (she/they) accepts freshly spilled blood as offerings, but your praise and monetary support will also suffice. The Vamp lives with her consort, showghoul gremlin Harley Go'Lightly, and their three beastly felines. Nelly Clementine (she/her) is a lady (if one could indeed call her a lady) of small stature and humourous mind. She has a proclivity for removing her clothes in the silliest way possible so as to entertain whatever agreeable company has assembled. If you have any doubt as to her commitment to the task, you may note the manner in which she has laid down this biography and consider it full proof of her tenacity in regards to amusement. STAGE KITTEN

Joona Bae (she/her) is a bigendered, Korean burlesque performer who was born in Suwon, South Korea. Joona loves to bounce between masculinity and femininity, Korean heritage and American upbringing, and joy and pain through complex stories. Joon will make you go “Ah!” because she is such a Bae. DJ DADDY:

Alex the Axe (he/him) is a proud Puerto Rican who loves metal, comic books, and making sweet tune-age with his collection of guitars. He has been living in the diaspora for 11 years and is always on the hunt for friends who want to make music with him. When he isn’t reading about world history, punk, and politics, flying up some tasty tostones, or spinning records, you can find him working at Alley Cat Comics in Andersonville on weekends where he will happily recommend you next favorite graphic novel… @alexander.the.dave
