About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Learn how to empower your students with the skills to drive societal change by embedding personal and professional development into your teaching.
Help them navigate uncertainty, reframe challenges, and build resilience — using practical tools tailored for higher education.

These tools aim to equip students with the cognitive, affective and collaborative abilities needed for meaningful societal impact.

The Transition Makers Toolbox builds on the Inner Development Goals (IDG) framework, translating key skills and qualities into intended learning outcomes and step-by-step learning activities paired with assessment.

In this interactive online session, you will:

  • Explore the core features of the Toolbox and a selection of innovative teaching practices
  • Get inspired by examples of implementing affective learning at the curriculum level at the University of Amsterdam
  • Bring your own questions for the Q and A

About the Transition Makers Toolbox

The Toolbox is a collaboration between the Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies (University of Amsterdam) and the EWUU alliance (TU Eindhoven, Wageningen, Utrecht University, UMC Utrecht)

Through the Empowered Minds project, we will integrate affective learning across 14 of the University of Amsterdam’s educational programmes over the next four years.
